FAQs

SHOULD I USE BITUMEN OR ASPHALT?

This depends on your road base preparation, if the sub base is done correctly there should be no problems with your asphalt or bitumen pavement.

It also depends on your budget and the size of the driveway. Bitumen is the most cost-effective option and is most suitable for large projects. Asphalt is the better choice for shorter driveways.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO?

Asphalt is a far smoother finish while bitumen has a course finish. Asphalt is manufactured in a plant before it is transferred to your location and laid. Bitumen, on the other hand, is sprayed in liquid form, covered with aggregate stone, and rolled to embed the aggregate into the bitumen.
